Our first stop was in Phoenix to hike a small Mesa off of route 44. It was blossoming with Brittle bush, and some other species. I'll post more pics later.

Personalized clothing is a thing of the past, especially in the US, where all clothing (even the so called quality clothing) is manufactured in sweat shops across the world.

There are exceptions of course in the US, but hand crafted clothing is very expensive, and time intensive. On a visit to South America, I visited a haberdashery that offered personalized tailor services, where clothes that were on display would be fitted for the customer. I can tell you that tailored clothing is amazing.

This button is an example of custom embroidery (a good friend's work) a testament that quality work still exists. I couldn't resist taking a shot with the 100mm.

!00mm Macro

I recently purchased a Canon 100mm Macro F/2.8 lens. Today was my first shoot with the lens, and right out of the box you can see what fantastic glass it is. I found a bee working laboriously away at these flowers.





After about 50 shots I felt pretty comfortable with the lens, even though my subject was buzzing around at a lightning pace.
