Griffy trail

A caterpillar nest that stubbled across

Not a bad political strategy either

I had so many great shots of these herons, it just breaks my heart that I didn't grab my circular polarizer out of the camera bag when I left this morning. I could have really gotten some fantastic shots if I could have controlled the light bouncing off the lake. There was so much light it confused the camera sensors, and I was also trying to underexpose because of all that extra light, the result of which were 400 terrible photos. I was able to ps about 6 or so. I sat in a tree overlooking the lake for an hour, and luckily this bird got within 3 or so meters of me. I had several fish catching shots, none of which were above average. This one has the fish in it's beak.
